Division of Building Physics

Building Physics is a division within the Department of Building and Environmental Technology. The Division of Building Physics studies how heat, moisture and air are distributed and transported through building components and within buildings.

The research results are used to develop and connect individual materials to building components, such as foundations, exterior walls, windows, roofs and their connections and implementations. The goal is to create energy-efficient, comfortable and moisture-proof buildings with a good indoor environment, long service life and low environmental impact that results in an efficient use of the earth's resources.
